Unlike ferrites, also know as ferrite beads, that provide no protection whatsoever from cell phone radiation,
AegisGuard™ Headset Wire Radiation Shields consist of a proprietary metal
and ceramic non-magnetic ferrous material tested at frequencies emitted by
cellular phones and headsets, plus higher and lower frequencies. They are
embodied in a durable nylon housing that clamps over a headset wire above
the plug which is inserted into the phone.
They fit all
cellular and cordless phone headset wires and interact directly with the
high frequency energy, suppressing it while allowing the voice signal to
pass through to the earpiece unimpeded. They significantly reduce
radiation absorption by body organs and into the head via the ear canal,
and block up to 98% of a phone's radiation from being transferred through
a headset wire without affecting sound quality, power level or battery
consumption. Lightweight and
easily installed (no tools required), they are also easily removed for
transfer to another headset.
